The Gathering Spot

Cultural epicentre The Gathering Spot (TGS) has announced the platform’s expansion with the launch of an app and a new location.

Co-founders Ryan Wilson and TK Petersen announced the move at the State of the Club address during TGS’s 8th anniversary. This new chapter will see the private membership club establish its fourth physical location in Houston, Texas, joining the clubs in Atlanta, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles.

The private membership network focused on the Black community recently became independent after being acquired by Greenwood in May 2022. Over the years, TGS has hosted prominent figures such as President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Their influence has gone beyond politics to working with brands like Nike, Amazon, and Google. Celebrities like Ludacris, LeBron James, and Tyler Perry have supported the initiative.

The Gathering Spot Comes To Houston, Texas

The announcement of the new club location comes at a time when TGS’s influence has never been more palpable. As a cultural epicentre, TGS has become synonymous with transformative impact, bridging gaps across industries and creating a singular space for the intersection of thought leadership and community action.

“Our anniversary is not just about marking time; it’s about celebrating the unwavering spirit of our community,” says Ryan Wilson, co-founder and CEO of The Gathering Spot. “The new club location is a beacon of our growing legacy and our promise to continue creating space and opportunities that inform, empower, and support our communities.”

A New App For The Gathering Spot Community

Jointly with the expansion, TGS will launch its mobile app at the end of March to enhance the member experience. The digital extension aims to offer integration for members across all markets, ensuring that the essence of TGS—culture, community, and collaboration—is easily accessible. “These opportunities reflect the exciting times ahead for The Gathering Spot and are a testament to the vibrant future we envision as we continue to build and innovate for our community,” Peterson added.
