February 10, 2025For Black History Month 2025, TikTok has launched a campaign spotlighting #BlackTikTok content creators making waves on the platform. These dynamic creators, community voices, and entrepreneurs drive impact in healthcare, education, entertainment, beauty, food, and more.
The initiative coincides with TikTok’s 2025 SOAR Together business accelerator program with Black Girl Ventures, an in-app #BlackTikTok programming hub, in-person events, and more.
Despite all the uncertainty fuelled by the recent TikTok ban, the social media app continues to be a lucrative source of income and influence for influencers, with creators like Mr Beast, Khaby Lame, Marques Brownlee, Logan Paul, and Kai Cenat earning staggering amounts.
Let’s meet TikTok’s Black creators, entrepreneurs, and voices who continue to inspire and shape the platform.
Dr. Leah Barlow
Dr. Barlow is an Assistant Professor at North Carolina A&T State University who has redefined online education through her TikTok account. What started as a way to engage her African-American Studies class grew into a movement with over 550,000 followers in just one week.
