Jurassic World Rebirth Movie Review

Jurassic World: Rebirth was recently released in theaters last July 2, 2025.

Since the first Jurassic Park movie was released in 1993, we have had a total of eight Jurassic movies, including this one.

From the perspective of a person who was able to watch the entire franchise from the beginning, the latest movie did a lot of justice to the franchise. The chemistry between the cast was unexpected, but it became one of the best parts of the movie.

If you’re planning to watch all the movies before watching Rebirth, it’s actually a great idea, especially if you’ve missed out on a couple of movies. Most of them are available on streaming services, so you don’t have to worry about where to find them. That points us to the question…

Do You Need to Watch All Jurassic Park Movies Before Rebirth?

Not really, but it makes a difference if you know what previously happened. Many people actually watched this movie without watching the previous films and still appreciated it. However, it’s obvious that long-time fans will appreciate some of the characters’ return. When you have that foundation, you’ll be able to understand how the story connects to the earlier movies.

You don’t have to watch it if you don’t want to, but we recommend it if you want to make your experience better. Or you can also watch them after watching Jurassic World Rebirth, one at a time, if you can’t watch them. Just make sure to line up a few movies whenever you’re TV streaming, and you should be good to go.

Is Jurassic World Rebirth Worth Watching?

Yes, it is worth watching. When it comes to the technicalities of the movie, everything was done really well. The visuals were really beautiful. Well, Jurassic Park has always been known to deliver lifelike dinosaurs. The action scenes were also shot in a way that made you feel like you were right there in the middle of it all. There was an emotional scene where they were trying to capture a sample of Titanosauruses in the middle of a massive field.

This was the most emotional part of the movie because it references the iconic Brachiosaurus scene from the original Jurassic Park movie (yep, the one we used to watch on streaming platforms such as Netflix and Disney+ and TV services like DISH TV deals). However, fans are divided on how they feel about it. Some loved it, but others think it was corny and a cheat because it relied too much on nostalgia. Regardless of the mixed opinions, it’s hard to deny the emotional impact it had.

The slow, majestic movement of the Titanosauruses against the backdrop of the open field, with the Jurassic Park song playing softly in the background, was just too beautiful to watch. Add to that the characters’ emotions as they get emotional watching the dinosaurs do their thing.

Final Thoughts

Jurassic World Rebirth is a solid 7/10. It met the expectations of most fans and was enjoyable even for first-time viewers. While it also received a lot of criticism, especially regarding its CGI in certain scenes, the overall visual quality was still impressive enough. The chemistry of the cast is really commendable. They played off each other really well. We recommend watching this movie even if you haven’t watched any Jurassic Park movie.
