January 12, 2026Las Vegas has just wrapped up another Consumer Electronics Show, also known as CES. This year, artificial intelligence wasn’t just present at CES 2026; from toothbrushes to robot vacuums, manufacturers have AI in a lot of things! The exhibitions felt reminiscent of about five years ago, when every gadget was smart and required an app.
CES 2026 took place from January 6–9, 2026, in Nevada, featuring major tech announcements, product showcases, and industry networking at the Las Vegas Convention Center and other venues. There were keynotes and exhibits from companies like Nvidia, Samsung, and LG happening throughout these dates. AI, robotics, digital health, and automotive tech dominated the show, with press conferences from leading tech giants highlighting their latest innovations.
These innovations feel more capable, more purposeful, and far less gimmicky. From robotics that handle chores to rollable laptops for those who need larger screens, AI was a thread tying most breakthroughs together.

Here are five products that caught our attention this year.
Smart Legos
Lego introduced a set of smart bricks that have sensors and feedback systems. These bricks can sense motion, touch, and light, even. Combined with an app, they set out to create interactive play experiences that merge the physical construction with digital innovation. What makes this innovation really cool is that Logo has been loved by people of all ages, and now, it will have the ability to teach coding and robotics fundamentals to its users without being overwhelming. This sets on a transition from classic play to AI-enhanced interactivity. Lego has just reinvented itself.
LG CLOiD Robot
Robots were another big rave in CES 2026, most notably, LG’s humanoid robot. It targets households directly. It serves food, handles basic kitchen tasks, and more. The AI enables the robot to recognize objects and adapt to different household layouts as well. This presentation by LG wasn’t a concept video or a human in an attire, but it was a real working prototype, and this feels like a great leap towards autonomous household robots.

Samsung’s moving style display.
Samsung unveiled an incredibly versatile display. Their new modular monitor system supports portrait and landscape orientations, standard, but what makes it more interesting is its ability to detach from its stand and function wirelessly as a monitor for up to three hours. This allows users to move it across rooms, or even use it as a sa second screen for both work and entertainment. The execution felt polished and functional, with AI also able to adjust brightness, contrast, and more.

Roborock Saros Rover
Robot vacuums have been conquering floors for a minute; now, however, they are climbing stairs. Moreover, it uses AI vision to map spaces and predict obstacles in real time. Unlike earlier robots, which relied on pre-programmed paths, this rover adapts seamlessly to changing environments. Its the evolution of home automation indeed. Consequently, multi-level homes no longer need a vacuum for each floor, thus representing a breakthrough in home robotics.

L’Oreal Light Straight + Multi Styler.
L’Oreal has just made beauty tech smarter and safer. For many years, people around the world have used heat directly on hair in order to achieve different styles. Damage from heat straighteners, which reach 400 degrees and higher, is a common reality for many, from burns in hands and scalp, and also, hair gets damaged by heat over time. However, L’Oreal is replacing heat with infrared light! It never exceeds 320 Fahrenheit. Hair is strengthened by infrared light for everyone and will be released in 2027.
The Bigger Picture
CES 2026 has demonstrated that AI has moved beyond mere marketing. It has become integrated into product functionality as well. However, with all products benefiting from an AI integration, attendees were seen questioning what good AI in an LG washing machine does, and we are all excited to see.
Nevertheless, the innovations on display suggest that we are definitely entering an era where AI augments daily life meaningfully. The challenge ahead involves ensuring AI enhances rather than complicates. As this year’s show proved, when done right, the results can be spectacular.
