Bronzelens Film Festival Sunday Brunch with the Brothers

BronzeLens Film Festival brought together actors, filmmakers, and fans for its annual Sunday Brunch with the Brothers.

The event spotlighted the male cast of the hit daytime series Beyond the Gates. Held over the weekend at Morehouse College in Atlanta, the brunch celebrated Black excellence in film and television and honored veteran actor Clifton Davis for his contributions to the entertainment industry.

The brunch also featured a candid conversation with several of the show’s leading men. They reflected on their journeys in the entertainment industry and the impact of representation both on screen and beyond it.

Davis, the veteran actor who plays patriarch Vernon Dupree on the CBS series, received the Bronze Excellence in Iconic Performance and Ministry Award during the program. The actor, whose career spans decades across TV, film, and theater, was recognized for both his artistry and his influence as a mentor and faith leader.

About The Program

On stage with Davis were his fellow cas members, Keith D. Robinson, Timon Kyle Durrett, Robert Riley, Mike Manning, Sean Freeman, Jibre Hordges, Alex Alegria, Maurice P. Kerry, and Lami Friebe. Together, the actors shared insights about building careers in Hollywood and navigating the evolving TV landscape. Also on topic was the cultural significance of the groundbreaking series.

The discussion was moderated by Atlanta’s media personality Ray Cornelius. Through screenings, panels, and real networking opportunities, the BronzeLens Film Festival has continued to support emerging talent while showcasing stories that widen representation across the entertainment industry.
