June 15, 2022In the run-up to Father’s Day, our team has been on the lookout for must-have gifts for techie dads.
Our goal was to find gadgets that weren’t just sleek but were highly functional. We looked at a variety of products for tech-savvy dads but two products that stood out for us are the Fitbit Charge 5 and Fitbit Charge 5. The best part is if you order today the devices will arrive before Sunday. So come on gift him with a tech gift he’ll love.
The Nest two-pack is a much-needed addition to the home, that gives coverage across the entire home, ultra-fast internet speeds, and even has Google Assistant built into the point, so Dad can also use it as a smart speaker. Dad can even schedule a regular WiFi pause on his kids’ devices and even block websites.
Nest WiFi Super Easy To Install
What we love about Nest WiFi is that it’s super easy to set up. All you need to do is follow a couple of simple steps and you’re ready to go. Once you have the device plugged in download the Google Home app on a compatible phone or tablet. We used an iPhone. Follow the on-screen steps to finish off.
Nest Wifi is ultra-sleek. Both devices (the router and point) blend into any background. The matt surface is clean and neutral. They are also portable (measuring around 4 inches in height and width) and can easily be tucked away. Another bonus is that Nest Wifi’s router enclosure is made from 45% post-consumer recycled plastic, and the point enclosure is made from 40% post-consumer recycled plastic, so you can feel good about the gift you’re giving.
No need to worry about everyone in the house streaming on multiple devices while working from home. The Nest Wifi router with one Wifi point is strong enough to handle up to 200 connected devices and fast enough to stream multiple 4K videos at a time. They cover a space of about 3800 square feet.
We did a quick test to check the internet speed and the speeds increased significantly using the Nest Wifi. The speed was 286 Mbps download/40 Mbps upload using the Nest WiFi compared with 67.8mbps download 24 Mbps upload using our local internet service provider.
Fitbit Charge 5 Advanced Tech
For the dad that wants the latest and greatest – Fitbit Charge 5 packs advanced tech and sensors into a thinner, sleek design. We also love that the Fitbit comes with two strap sizes for the small and larger wrist sizes.
Even though the Charge 5 is noticeably smaller than Fitbit’s smartwatches, it is packed with stats. We have the heart rate tracker with high and low heart rate alerts; a tracker to automatically measure breathing rate while your sleep; an SpO2 sensor for blood oxygen levels; plus, skin temperature tracking at night.

Fitbit Charge 5
The Charge 5 really has it all when it comes to tracking stats, from steps taken to calories burined each day. Other data tracked are heard rate, sleep score, number of days you exercised and much more.
It really is a fab device to track and manage stress, heart health, and sleep, plus six months of Fitbit Premium, Charge 5 will help them keep a pulse on dad’s overall wellness.
