Panache Ventures and Kora Partner to Drive Venture Capital Growth in Africa

Canadian pre-seed venture fund Panache Ventures has partnered with African-focused fintech startup Kora. The partnership will help African tech founders to access venture capital funding.

The collaboration announced at a recently concluded event in Lagos, Nigeria, is in response to the challenges that entrepreneurs in the region face, which impede their growth and operations.

Facilitating The Growth of Venture Capital in Africa 

Panache Ventures and Kora will focus on providing African tech startups with resources such as mentorship, partnerships, and direct guidance on securing venture capital. 

“By forging partnerships, offering mentorship, and providing guidance concerning funding opportunities, we intend to cultivate groundbreaking startups that will reshape Africa’s technology scene,” said Kora’s CEO, Dickson Nsofor.

Prashant Matta, General Partner at Panache Ventures and lead investor for Kora, also expressed his enthusiasm about the gathering. According to TechCabal, he said, “This gathering serves as a testament to the incredible potential and entrepreneurial spirit in Africa’s tech ecosystem. The collaborations and discussions from this event will shape the future of innovative startups across the region.”

He also emphasized the importance of fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing to empower innovative startups across the continent.

The event featured an esteemed lineup of industry leaders who shared their insights and experiences with the eager audience. Some speakers were Lotanna Julian, CEO of Advancly, Somto Ifezue, CEO of Piggyvest, and Buchi Okoro, CEO / Founder of Quidax. These tech leaders enlightened the audience on various aspects of the startup journey, including funding strategies, pitching, and ideas on how to build high-functional teams. 

The event attracted over 100 founders building Africa’s next generation of transformative technology companies. It provided an exceptional platform for entrepreneurs to network and learn from one another. The founders represented various industries, from fintech to e-commerce, logistics, and clean energy.
