Beyoncé has joined the billionaire club, becoming the fifth musician to hit the ten-digit mark ($1B+), according to Forbes.

The global music icon reached the milestone following the success of her Cowboy Carter tour, which grossed more than $400 million in ticket sales and an additional $50 million in merchandise. Her previous Renaissance world tour generated more than $579 million.

Her husband, Jay-Z, was the first musician to hit billionaire status on Forbes’s list back in 2019. Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, and Taylor Swift have also been featured on the list.

Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter‘s wealth comes mainly from her music-catalogue revenue and global tours. However, she’s also launched some awesome ventures: the hair care brand Cécred, the whiskey label SirDavis, and the clothing line Ivy Park.

She also founded Parkwood Entertainment in 2010, her management and production company, which handles all her artistic ventures – music, concerts, documentaries, you name it.

Beyoncé’s 2024 album Cowboy Carter received widespread critical acclaim, earning her first Album of the Year Grammy award. The subsequent tour became the world’s highest-grossing music tour of 2025. It featured a three-hour production with guest appearances by her husband, Jay-Z, her children, and former Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

Forbes highlighted the tour’s massive scale, employing 350 crew members, using 100 semi-trucks worth of equipment, and requiring eight 747 cargo planes to transport the show across cities. The magazine noted, “Across any category of the entertainment industry, there is practically no enterprise more lucrative than a musician who can sell out stadiums.”

From Humble Beginnings to Superstardom

Beyoncé’s journey to stardom began with Destiny’s Child, and she launched her solo career in the early 2000s. She now holds the record for the most Grammy awards and nominations in Grammy history. Her lucrative deals include $50m for the 2024 “Beyoncé Bowl” half-time show and $10m for Levi’s commercials, solidifying her billionaire status.

As she raps on her track Pure/Honey, “It should cost a billion to look this good / But she make it look easy ’cause she got it” – and indeed, she does. With over 3,000 billionaires worldwide in 2025, according to Forbes, Beyoncé has joined an elite club, cementing her status as one of the most successful musicians of all time.

”She’s one of the music gods,” IAG chairman Dennis Arfa told Forbes in December 2023. “The business she does, and the amount of people that she draws, that she can do a movie on her own. She can do things most can’t.”
