16-Year-Old Becomes Nigeria’s Youngest Chartered Accountant
July 1, 2026Entrepreneur and television producer Cheron K. Griffin has launched Wild Horse TV, a streaming platform operated by her production and distribution company, Wild Horse Entertainment.
While traditional distributors tend to strip creators of ownership and long-term control over their work, Lagos-based Wild Horse Entertainment aims to give creators greater authority over their content.
In addition to the launch, Griffin is positioning the platform as a bridge between Africa and the diaspora. After a decade of building her independent reality TV show, Griffin is expanding the franchise into Nigeria, Uganda, and South Africa. She has also struck deals with filmmakers on the continent.

Who is Cheron Griffin?
Her own marriage inspired Griffin’s career in media. As a former pastor’s wife, she turned her experiences into a book, 3PM, which became the basis for her reality TV show, Preachers’ Exes. The docu-series follows women who were married to pastors and who are now speaking out about what those marriages looked like. The show unpacks issues such as infidelity, infertility, miscarriage, and spiritual mistreatment within the relationship.
Her other work follows a similar pattern, using her own difficult experiences to shed light on otherwise taboo topics. After a period where Griffin was a substitute teacher, she found herself hearing from students who struggled with suicidal ideation. The children endured bullying, difficulties at home, and often felt unseen. That led her to write: I SEE YOU: Igniting Hope and Preventing Suicide.
As a producer, author, and public speaker, Griffin seeks to provide a platform for voices that have historically been excluded from mainstream outlets.

What Makes Wild Horse Entertainment Different
Griffin built Wild Horse around a frustration she says is common among independent creators. “For too long creators have been told they must sacrifice ownership in exchange for opportunity,” she said. Wild Horse is a direct challenge to that arrangement.
The platform’s launched with Griffin’s flagship program: Preachers Exes of Houston. They dropped a six-episode season exploring faith, healing, and the fallout of spiritual abuse. The first episode is free to watch, with the full season priced at $4.99.

Wild Horse’s ambitions go beyond Griffin’s own shows. The platform is actively picking up films, series, and documentaries from creators across Africa and the diaspora. Griffin aims to position Wild Horse as a connective space rather than simply a distribution channel for one franchise. Its most notable acquisition so far is Tenants of the House, an adaptation of Wale Okediran’s award-winning novel directed by Kunle Afolayan. After completing a run on Netflix, the film is now moving to Wild Horse’s platform.
Griffin has her sights set on the big picture. “Our goal is bigger than a streaming platform,” she said. “We’re building a global home for storytellers. Whether they’re in Houston, Lagos, Kampala, Johannesburg, London, or Atlanta, we want creators to know there is a place where their stories matter.”
Griffin started with one story; now she is set to give the next generation of creators across Africa and the diaspora a chance to tell their stories.
