Despite the tremendous efforts by multiple parties, bullying is still a big problem in our schools. A lot of young students are victims of bullying. Even worse, not all bullying victims have the courage or the ability to come forward and get help. Dealing with bullying can be tricky at times, but school counselors are taking a more active role in bringing the number of cases down. Universities such as Bradley University and the available masters of counseling online programs are helping counselors master the necessary skills to identify and stop bullying.
According to studies compiled by Bradley University, 50% of students don’t feel safe when they are at school. We, all of the stakeholders involved, have the power to change this. Bullying is something we can eliminate if we choose to work together.
